Proceedings

All papers accepted and presented at Systol'16 will be published in the conference proceedings, and included in the IEEE Xplore on line digital library and EI Compendex database.

Style and Layout

All submitted papers must conform to the style and layout guidelines specified by the standard IEEE double-column format. These can be found at the PaperCept's web page at the Support section.

The following instructions are among the most important ones:

  • Paper length must not exceed 6 (six) pages
  • Papers should be prepared in double column format suitable for direct printing onto IEEE A4 paper, justified, and using Times Roman 10pt typeface. Do not number pages on the front, as page numbers will be added separately for the preprints and the Proceedings.
  • The first page should include:
    • Title (maximum 10 words);
    • Each author's name and affiliation, including present address;
    • Abstract (50-100 words), giving a brief account of the most relevant aspects of the paper;
  • Use single line spacing throughout. Do not indent the initial lines of paragraphs.

Authors must ensure that submitted papers conform all IEEE conference style and layout instructions. The specifications above can be achieved by using a text edition system like LaTeX or Microsoft Word.

Using LaTeX

Authors using LaTeX should use the IEEE conference class to meet the exact specifications of the conference instructions. The class file and instructions for its use can be found here .

Using Microsoft Word

Authors working with Microsoft word can use as starting template the file that can be found here.

Generating PDF files

All papers must be submitted in Portable Document Format (PDF) as a single file. No other electronic format will be accepted. Hardcopy submissions will not be accepted.

The procedure to generate pdf files and the requirements they must accomplish are described in the PaperCept web page as PDF support . Compliance and diagnostic tools are also provided there to help to obtain a valid file.
